Darby Dan 2009 Triple Crown Fantasy Stakes Here is your chance to prove your horse-picking prowess and compete for cash and complimentary seasons to one of our young stallions! Best of all it's FREE to play! Here's how it works…Begin by registering. We will randomly select a $50 winner on Monday, April 27th at 4 pm from those contestants which have pre-registered for the contest! After the odds are posted for the Derby, horse selection will open. Each player will login to make their selections. 50 "Darby Dollars" will be given to each player for the purchase of three horses. The purchase price for each horse will be based upon the morning line odds. Although three horses must be selected, all Darby Dollars do not have to be spent. Horse selection for the Derby will close at 3 pm on Saturday, May 2nd. After this time, no additional selections or modification may be made. After the race is declared official, points will be awarded to each horse in the player's stable based upon their finish positions. Total available points for the race are determined in advance by the number of entries for the race. For each race, the maximum number of points will be 100 for a full field. For a 20 horse Derby field, 100 points will be awarded to the first place finisher, 70 for second, 50 for third, etc. - down to one point for the last place finisher. If the Belmont only has 6 entrants, first place will receive 50 points, second 35, etc. The winner of each leg of the Triple Crown will receive $100. A tie will be broken by random draw. The grand prize winner will be the player who gains the most points through the three Triple Crown rounds. In the case of a tie, the winner will be the player who selected the greatest cumulative number of winning horses. The grand prize winner will receive their choice of:
Prizes will be awarded to contestants finishing 1st-4th. The runners up shall receive their choice from the remaining stallions listed above after the winner and consecutive finishers have made their selections. Please note, the seasons are for 2010 and shall not be carried forward to any future breeding seasons. These complimentary seasons are non-transferable (may not be sold). |
